THERE WERE A LOT OF EXTRAORDINARY "WALKING ACTS" ON THE WEEKEND OF 26.10. ON 27.10.19, IN THE SKYLINE PARK IN 86871 RAMMINGEN, WHICH OPENED ITS GATES UNDER THE MOTTO "HALLOWEEN" WITH A GUARANTEE OF HORROR. WHETHER A CREEPY BARN, CASTLE OF NIGHTMARES 2, A FIRE SHOW OR DIFFERENT SCARY BEAUTIFUL DESIGNS, EVERYTHING WAS REPRESENTED.

It is the encounters with different cosplayers and the guests from another galaxy, which were not only something for the eye, but some also held the breath for a moment. Since the quality & presentation of the costumes were very high, very realistic and sometimes very scary.

Guest-Starship-Troopers at the Skyelinepark

Many visitors came to the Allgäuer Skyline Park, children and adults were amazed when the Starship Troopers were already standing in front of the entrance trellis and saluting. Also the Starwarsfreunde Allgäu were present and positioned themselves accordingly. Here it wasn't only about unusual costumes, but about expressive characters that really made an impression. These interactions and presence create experience values between acts and their fans. They are eye-catchers and ambassadors at the same time.

But even without our Chief such events would not be possible! After he had planned, built and tried out many, many hours, days, months, the moment had come to present his result and to inspire again. He created great unique, among other things also specially made, handmade pieces.

Besides, he had meticulously planned and organized everything again, he left nothing to chance. The arriving troupe had to report to the administration to get their wristbands and thus get entry to the park. By the way, 9 Troopers were recruited for the weekend, who volunteered for the 2 days: "Marcel, Richy, Alexandra, Klaus, Tommy, Martin, Laura, Christoph & Carlos" were ready to do everything to protect the visitors, big or small, from the bugs. By the way, rookie Tommy alias "Martin Lange" has successfully completed the general basic training of the Starship Troopers and has now been officially accepted into the squad.

In the Skyline Park itself, food and drink vouchers were provided. Furthermore, drinks and tasty muffins were available at the stand of Cospaly-Union-Germany e.V. The stand assigned to the Starship Troopers in the park was filled with life in the meantime. The soldiers prepared everything to be prepared for the day.

"Get to work - and we'll do it" was the motto:

  • The photo canvas was set up for the later shooting with the visitors.
  • Tables for the displays were set up.
  • The flag was raised. "Showing the flag wherever it goes"
  • Uniforms and helmets adjusted, boots cleaned & Moritas is created.
  • Position taken!

Around 10:00 o'clock the briefing for all took place at the play barn. Here, with the Starship Troopers, all other "Walking Acts" who were invited / booked for the spectacle in the Skyline Park gathered.

The "Walking Act" itself and the "Troopen" at the booth was set from 10 - 18 o'clock. So much was certain: "The Starship Troopers" do not come from this earth. "Together they & the other cosplayers have decided to create a direct encounter between them and their audience! Unique, unbelievable, with a lot of closeness & without fear of contact.

Shortly after 10 o'clock, all Troopers on duty met and took their seats, lining up in line to prepare for the first "Walking Acts": Exploring the Skyline Park to entertain the audience, busy taking photos/selfies with the option of always being an eye-catcher. When do you get the chance to see your favorite hero live and in color? The park visitors were already thrilled at the sight.

Also the Troopers had to fulfill their mission in different rides like the "wild mouse", "roller coaster", Sky-Karts or in the feared Sky Shot, which shoots one with the 4,5-fold force of its body weight, up to 90 m in the height.

In "Wasteland" the soldiers were forced to take a stand again, here was an exciting, successful photo shooting. Always with us, our cameraman Marcel alias "Specialist Benjamin Schmidt", who shot more video segments during the whole stay in the Skyline Park.

Two troopers should always alternate during this time, while the other comrades marched through the park, "stand guard" to receive the arriving park guests there, to welcome them and to stand in front of the photo canvas, which was otherwise very heavily frequented, together their "soldier", always the bugs in view.

After a really successful first day, all Troopers were freed from day duty and, after everything had been roughly dismantled and stowed away, were now allowed to check into the booked Hotel-Geiger-Mindelheim freshen up and have dinner together, before the evening ended.

All of them? No! Except Klaus alias "Trooper Thomas Wolf". He has made it his goal to run the "Best Time Marathon in Munich" in his complete outfit, which was held in the night from Saturday, 26.10.2019 to Sunday, 27.10.2019. Said, done! After dinner he drove off, started for the marathon at night and returned to work the next day. "Chapeau" he actually made it happen! The Chief and the whole troop were very proud of him.

On Sunday morning 8.15 o'clock the Starship Troopers came together for breakfast. Discussed the further procedure for the new day in the Skyline Park Allgäu and drove then, rested and with full energy to the next Walking Act and waited again for many, many visitors in order to inspire them again.

"SOME CALL IT HOBBY, FOR US IT'S PASSION"!

Fantastic costumes, a great weekend not only for cosplayers. A successful event lies behind us. It will certainly not be the last.
